There are so many fundraising resources available that it’s hard to know where to begin.  Quality varies.  For every wise, generous mentor out there sharing advice, there’s a huckster and a link farm (one of those annoying websites with no actual content, which makes money from ad revenue by getting you to keep clicking).  Here are a few suggestions, and please let me know if you have a favorite resource to add to this list for others to see.

• BoardSource, always my first go-to, offers a wealth of resources; they are mainly for access by members (and I recommend membership in BoardSource).  Here are a number of BoardSource’s fundraising resources.
• Among BoardSource’s offerings is this one, to which I’d particularly like to call your attention: “Breaking the Gala Addiction”
• The Union for Reform Judaism has made public its 2015 report Reimagining Financial Support for Your 21st Century Congregation.  When clicking through to download the report, don’t miss reading the three interesting news articles about the URJ’s work, which appear on the right-hand sidebar.
• From a grassroots fundraising perspective, don’t miss the links I’ve provided on emerging grassroots fundraising best practices, which are referenced on Page 171 of the book.
• Unlike most listicles, which are little more than link farms, these “17 Fundraising Ideas to Raise More Money” from GiveForward.com are solid.
• Finally, my own former company’s “Idea Book” is primarily directed toward grassroots fundraising, but contains many ideas that are much more broadly applicable.
